More Sheet Inchies

Here are my sheet inchies for the flop of a swap! I used sage Crackle paint then stamped onto it then used gold acrylic paint around the edges and then used diamond glaze around the words. This was one of two types I made. The second I put a crackle glaze on top of the Crackle paint and it really brought out the color of the ink used to stamp the image.

Sheet Inchie Swap

Here are Betsy Hawkins Sheet Inchies. I've taken them and layered them up added some Diamond Glaze as grout and then the 3-D White Scriblers for the word. It is hard to see but Betsy's Inchies have gold around the butterfly...Beautiful!
I will share the other TWO entries I received soon.

Halloween Inchie Swap Results

I'm involved in an Inchie Yahoo Web Group, and we just recently had a Halloween inchie swap. This was a fun swap as it was an international swap so there was some very diverse people involved. I didn't label who did what because not everyone signed their inchies. I will say that I did the letter B and 2 letter O's to spell out Boo. It is hard to see but I used adhesive Mulberry Orange paper and layered it then stamped the letter onto the top.

Don't scroll down any further if you were involved and haven't gotten your inchies yet and still want to be surprised.

Using inchies and sharing a card Sketch

This is a sketch created by Allie Gower for Croppinsville, U.S.A. It uses inchies in the layout so it makes it extra useful.

Here is the card I made using this sketch. This card uses my Technique Inchies for the Inchies-onexone web group swap, the Purple Faerie Sweet Memories Quilt Texture plate stamp, Navy with cream stitched gingham ribbon and the polished stone technique.

Tutorial - Paper Folding: Jacket Fold

Paper Folding
Jacket Fold

Someone mentioned I should rate these by skill level. I would say this fold along with the last folding tutorial would have to be set at a beginning tea fold technique.

Supplies Needed:
Four 2.5" squares of 2 sided paper (not cardstock)
Liquid Adhesive (such as Liquid Glass, Diamond Glaze or Delta's liquid Archival glue)
Bone Folder (not necessary but quite handy with the double folds)

The Folding

Step One

With the right side of the paper facing you (pattern), fold the top edge to the bottom edge.

Step Two
Fold the top layer of the left corner up to the top folded edge making a triangle of the pattern. Repeat with the right corner.

Step Three
Fold the center corner (bottom point of triangle) up to the long folded edge forming a smaller triangle.

Assembly

Step One
Hold the first piece vertically with the folded edge to the left. Place a dab of adhesive near the top right corner and slide the second piece horizontally with the folded edge to the top. You are creating a right angle with the two folded edges. Repeat this for piece number three.

Step Two
The last piece slides between the first and the third pieces so that one end is on top of piece three and the other is behind piece one's back flap and this creates a square.

Two final folded samples of the Jacket Fold

Standard size card Sketch using the Jacket Fold with an inchie insert.

Here is a card made using the above sketch and sample. I inserted an inchie I got from a friend of mine Rachele Funk from an inchie swap we participated in together.

Inchie Swap Group 2 and Storage

Well ladies lets just say as usual this was a fun fun fun swap. These beauties are just incredible.

Also had to share the storage box that Vincentia shared with us on the stampers corner webgroup.

She wrote "I recently participated in an inchie swap. Didn't know what I was gonna do with the little suckers but they were fun. I had a snowflake embosser that I bought at my local Dollar Tree. It doesn't work very well but I don't feel bad about that because the plastic container that it came in is a perfect size to hold inchies. I am thinking that I will add hinges to the side and a clasp to the other side to make it look like a small acrylic treasure chest -- a treasure chest for my inchies!" another woman shared that she got a similar acrylic "treasure chest" for her inchies at Dollar Tree as well. If anyone finds one keep me in mind ~ wink wink wink ~

If you get a chance go check out Debbie's Die Cuts blog. She is like the inchie guru. Some of these are just stunning.

I'm starting to include inchies in my Paper Candy that I have for sale on my webstore. These are just tooo cute to keep under wraps. They need to be used in projects!!!

When you use yours please share your final project.
