Using inchies and sharing a card Sketch
This is a sketch created by Allie Gower for Croppinsville, U.S.A. It uses inchies in the layout so it makes it extra useful.
Here is the card I made using this sketch. This card uses my Technique Inchies for the Inchies-onexone web group swap, the Purple Faerie Sweet Memories Quilt Texture plate stamp, Navy with cream stitched gingham ribbon and the polished stone technique.

Tutorial - Paper Folding: Jacket Fold
Someone mentioned I should rate these by skill level. I would say this fold along with the last folding tutorial would have to be set at a beginning tea fold technique.
Supplies Needed:
Four 2.5" squares of 2 sided paper (not cardstock)
Liquid Adhesive (such as Liquid Glass, Diamond Glaze or Delta's liquid Archival glue)
Bone Folder (not necessary but quite handy with the double folds)
The Folding
Step One
With the right side of the paper facing you (pattern), fold the top edge to the bottom edge.

Step Two
Fold the top layer of the left corner up to the top folded edge making a triangle of the pattern. Repeat with the right corner.

Step Three
Fold the center corner (bottom point of triangle) up to the long folded edge forming a smaller triangle.

Assembly
Step One
Hold the first piece vertically with the folded edge to the left. Place a dab of adhesive near the top right corner and slide the second piece horizontally with the folded edge to the top. You are creating a right angle with the two folded edges. Repeat this for piece number three.

Step Two
The last piece slides between the first and the third pieces so that one end is on top of piece three and the other is behind piece one's back flap and this creates a square.

Two final folded samples of the Jacket Fold

Standard size card Sketch using the Jacket Fold with an inchie insert.
Here is a card made using the above sketch and sample. I inserted an inchie I got from a friend of mine Rachele Funk from an inchie swap we participated in together.

Inchie Craze Sweeps the Nation
I have two things to announce on the subject of Inchies...we will be caring inchie pre-cut bases in standard white cardstock, chipboard, watercolor paper and black cardstock. These will be up and available for sale by April 1st.
The second announcement about Inchies is a new swap opening up. This is a themed inchie swap. Here are all the details about this swap:
NAME OF SWAP: Multi Theme Inchie Swap
SIGN UP BY EMAILING: Nina at purplefaeriepc@yahoo.com
Due To ME NO LATER THAN: APRIL 30, 2008
QUANTITY: 2 Designs per theme - 5 Inchies Per Design (this is a great qty as these are so easy to create in little time) So you make 2 for each theme and make 5 of each for a total of 10 inchies per theme. This way you get 2 back of each for use on cards etc. An example is Sign up for Bugs (one spot) make 2 different bug designs (ladybug & Dragonfly) = Make 5 of the ladybug design and 5 of the dragonfly design. Each person will get 2 of each design/theme you created. Hope this is clear.
POSTAGE: Extra Self Addressed Stamped Envelope (SASE) with same postage as it cost you to send the envelope to the hostess PLUS an extra $0.17 cent stamp (stamp will be returned if not needed).
NOTE: Please put your art in a sealed plastic baggie to protect against the elements (if you are in multiple Themes indicate which Inchies are for which Theme). All art will be scanned and posted to the Purple Faerie PC Blog and Web-Group. If you would prefer not to have your art scanned, include a note.
1st Theme: Bugs
2nd Theme: Fruit/Veggies
3rd Theme: Flowers/leaves

Inchie Swap Group 2 and Storage

another woman shared that she got a similar acrylic "treasure chest" for her inchies
at Dollar Tree as well. If anyone finds one keep me in mind ~ wink wink wink ~

If you get a chance go check out Debbie's Die Cuts blog. She is like the inchie guru. Some of these are just stunning.
I'm starting to include inchies in my Paper Candy that I have for sale on my webstore. These are just tooo cute to keep under wraps. They need to be used in projects!!!
When you use yours please share your final project.
